Brett was employed as a police officer with the New South Wales Police Service from 1983 to 1996, the last 9 years of which were spent working as a specialist licensing and legalised gaming officer. Brett has extensive experience in matters relating to on-premises, hotels, clubs, packaged liquor licences, producer/wholesaler licences and limited licences with a keen interest in Club law including compliance issues, complaints and other disciplinary type issues. Brett is well regarded in the legal profession as an expert in proceedings involving liquor licensing and gaming practice and procedure.
